Hello check for a damage crank position sensor this sensor sends the singnal to the dme digital motor electronics to inject fuel and pulse the ing coils and will also start the fuel pump when it see a rpm above 500 this is a good tell sing if you crank the engine and the rpm does not jump there is a good chance that the crank posistion sensor is bad the battery and engine light will be.

I ve a 2005 e90 320d always been a joy to drive never any major issues.
We did not have an e90 320i in the us.
Took it in last week to dealer for its annual service all normal except they said i needed a new camshaft sensor.
So i am not ssure.
Sensor was replaced picked up from garage and drove home.
Abnormal power deficiencies when you think of the bmw brand you think of control endurance and luxury terms that do not coincide with power deficiency.

I ordered the crankshaft sensor bolt but i need the camshaft sensor bolt its for a 2006 bmw 325 e90.
The latter is a result of the dme not being able to process the engine rpm via the crank signal.
Check the part number for each vehicle if the same they will interchange.
They can figure out what part or repair kit you need.
