You will introduce the chlorine there.
Bleaching well system.
If the well is deeper increase the amount of bleach by 1 2 quart for every additional 50.
Shut off the well power supply drain the water heater and empty any other tanks connected to the well.
Flush the system especially if the water from the well is cloudy.
If you do not have a well cap you probably have a well seal that has a vent pipe.
If you have chlorine pellets that you have purchased from us drop in twenty five to thirty pellets in addition to the bleach.
Pour chlorine bleach into the well.
Remember 1 quart per 100 feet or start with one quart if you don t know the depth 2.
Pour in 1 gallon of regular household chlorine bleach down the well shaft.
Turn off the well system.
You may need up to 10 gallons 37 9 l of bleach depending on the volume of water within your well and the strength of the bleach.
If that cloudiness in the water is tds or total dissolved solids it will absorb the sodium hypochlorite used in the bleach and weaken it you don t want to do this every 6 months so get a complete kill.
Turn the electric power to the well system back on.
Turn on the outside garden hose and stick it back into the well and leave it running.
Pour the bleach into your well or through the vent pipe.
